about

This is one I wrote in the 90s. Funny how something you just spit out can be prophetic. Upbeat rock song with a bit of my sense of humor. I remember recording early demos of this having my friend Jon Richardson on drums.

lyrics

Hey!
You always wanna put me out
At night time
With the cat
Don't want your mommy to see me
Cuz you know
She couldn't stand that

Can I see you tomorrow
I s'pose you got plans
If you never tell me
How do I know where I stand

You know you treat me like a dog
Over 90% of the time
I'm always finding clothes around the house
And I know they're not mine

You never call
You never leave me a message
When you go away
When I called you at work
They tell me that you
Didn't show today

Secrets
Why all the secrets
Secrets
Why all the secrets

I thought I could trust you
I guess I was wrong
You've taken advantage of me
For way too long

How dumb do you think I am anyway
If you had to
Could you even give me
One reason to stay

Secrets
Why all the secrets
Secrets
Why all the secrets

I thought I could trust you
I guess I was wrong
You've taken advantage of me
For way too long

I found the little letter that he wrote you
And I read every line
He said you knew the place
But he was writing just to
Give you the time
Oh...

A midnight rendezvous
For a secret kiss
When I hooked up with you
I never dreamed it'd come to this

Secrets
Why all the secrets
Secrets
Why all the secrets
Secrets
Why all the secrets
Secrets
Why all the secrets
Hey!
